Country Club Boulevard Roadway Improvements
The City of Cape Coral is in the process of making roadway improvements along Country Club Boulevard. The improvements include access management, median curbing, landscaping, turning lanes, street lighting, and sidewalks. The contractor is working in phases and is now in the mid- section north of Veterans Parkway. Traffic is being detoured in to one lane for both north and southbound. Please drive safely and observe the 30 M.P.H. speed limit in the work area. Speeding fines are double in work zone areas. Additionally, L.C.E.C. is installing new street lighting south of Veterans Parkway at this time.

A $241,724 Stormwater Drainage Improvement Project is scheduled to begin on Old Burnt Store Road December 8th 2003 and will be completed in approximately 90 days. Affected area will be 1.33 miles of road between NW 27th Street and NW 35 Street. Motorists can expect reduced speed limits, one way traffic, and possible detours in the work zone area.

The medians are constantly being maintained along Del Prado Boulevard, Hancock Bridge Parkway, Cape Coral Parkway and Cultural Park Boulevard. Usually only minor delays are encountered. Please be patient. The median improvements make the trip more enjoyable.

If you have a streetlight burned out by your home, you can do the following: First, check the streetlight pole for a set of numbers usually ending with AA or BB. Call L.C.E.C. @ 656-2300 to report the streetlight outage by giving the number on the pole and the address where the streetlight is located. The L.C.E.C. does not have a night inspection system on local streets; therefore, it is necessary to report them as soon as possible. If you wish to order a street light, please call the City of Cape Coral Action Center for criteria @ 574-0425 Thank You
