The Youth Programs division offers child care and recreational programs to the elementary and middle school aged youth of our community.  Before and After School programs are offered to children attending all three of the City’s Charter Schools - Oasis Charter Elementary, Christa McAuliffe Charter Elementary, and Oasis Charter Middle School.  These programs include homework time, indoor and outdoor activities, games, sports, snack time, arts and crafts, guest speakers and much more.

Full day programs are also offered on most school holidays, and summer programs are available for all Lee County students.  In addition, the Youth Programs Division offers day trips to local and regional locations throughout the year.

It’s time to kick some fun into your after school activities! Another great new program Youth Services is offering is karate taught by Sixth degree black belt, Bernard Dougherty. This class will teach discipline, strength, and promote physical activity as well as an understanding of self-control. Classes will be one hour a week for an additional fee.

When school is out Parks and Recreation is in! Schools Out Days programs are a great way to spend a day off. These days are packed with exciting activities and games. There are also field trips where Parks and Recreation travels to several locations such as the Zoo and Sun Splash Family Water Park. Programs will be held at the three Cape Coral Charter Schools. The cost is $34.00 per day. This includes a snack and beverage. The deadline is one week prior to program.

Join Parks and Recreation for a journey down the Peace River. Get in touch with the outdoors as you and your children will see exotic wildlife and have the opportunity to explore the nature trails. When you are finished you will be able to enjoy a picnic lunch. Get out and do something exciting, entertaining, and together with Parks and Recreation. Fresh air and lots of fun, It Starts In Parks!
