Recreation Department produces a variety of programs, classes and
events for the citizens of Cape Coral and surrounding communities.
From smooth jazz by nationally known artists to boat-a-longs and bike
rides, we offer great fun, food and entertainment the whole family

Tour de Cape
Jan. 12-13 2008

Join us for the 17th annual Tour de Cape on January 12th and 13th, 2008. Saturday's event features a 5K run and walk through the beautiful Tarpon Point area of Cape Coral. Awards are given in the 5K race to the top 3 finishers in designated age brackets. Race begins at 8am. Sunday's event features one of the largest bike tours of its kind in the State of Florida. The tour offers a 15, 30, 62 and 100 mile course in the west and north sections of Cape Coral. Bike tours begin at 7:30am. Pre-registration is STRONGLY recommended for both events. Lee County Senior Games

The Cape Coral Parks & Recreation Department is hard at work on the Lee County Senior Games. This event is held from January 26 through February 10, 2008 at various locations throughout Lee County. With 18 different athletic events, the Senior Games is devoted to promoting healthy lifestyles in all active individuals over the age of 50. Participating in the Lee County Senior Games is an excellent way to begin, maintain, or enhance one’s physical and mental health. We offer a wide variety of games and events, persons of all abilities and levels may participate. Everyone age 50+ as of December 31, 2008 is welcome to participate.
