The Tony Rotino Senior Center’s mission is to provide
citizens 55 years and older with social, recreational,
and educational programs that sustain or improve their
quality of life in the community. The annual membership
fee is $18.00 for Cape Coral residents and $22.00 for
nonresidents.
The Tony Rotino Senior Center offers the following programs
for our active seniors:

Computer classes from beginners to advanced
-
Dance classes including beginner and intermediate
tap, beginner and intermediate country western line
dancing, ballet and ballroom dancing
-
Craft classes for knitting, crocheting
and quilting
-
Writing classes to improve your literary
skills and/or to help you write your first book
-
Monthly book discussion group
-
Exercise classes: Tai Chi, Seniorcise,
and Slimnastics
-
Daily cards and games with scheduled bridge
and pinochle games
-
Numerous trips to local points of interest,
theaters and events, and various overnight trips to
exciting land and cruise destinations
-
Special events including health fairs,
evening entertainment, fashion shows and holiday celebrations
-
Facilities are available for rent for
special occasions

Special Populations is dedicated to assisting persons
with developmental disabilities to foster independence,
self-esteem, individual growth and interpersonal relationships.
We accomplish this through continuing education, recreation,
social, employment, and life skill activities in a safe,
caring and structured environment.

Programs for adults and children with mental retardation
include:

Pops
Café, located in Cape Coral’s City Hall, 1015 Cultural
Park Blvd., is staffed and operated by Special Populations.
Breakfast and lunch is served Monday through Friday between
the hours of 7:30am and 1:30pm except for observed holidays.

The Social Service Division of the City of Cape Coral
provides a quality transport service for transportation
disadvantaged citizens in our community. The Cape Coral
Mini-Bus Service is specifically designed for our seniors
and disabled persons in our community who are unable to
drive or utilize the public transportation system.
Transportation for medical and shopping trips are provided
within the Cape Coral City limits.
The Cape Coral Mini-Bus Service is located within the
Lake Kennedy Senior Center facility at 400 Santa Barbara
