| Under Manager Bryon Maine, this section supports the business application software packages that service the City. The core system is the SunGard/HTE system which handles Payroll, Finance & Accounting, Land Management, Building Permits, and Utilities. This system also provides various E-Government services to citizens - allowing them to pay utility bills on-line, and apply for building permits and renew business licenses, for example. Other major systems include the SIRE Document Management System, the SIRE Electronic Permitting System, the OSSI & Telestaff systems supporting Public Safety, Rec-Trac supporting Parks & Recreation, and the e-Civicall system which allows Citizens to enter & track requests for service on-line. The Business Applications Support group also develops capabilities internally where cost effective solutions are not available commercially. Examples include the "Commercial Building Permit Estimator" and the "Who's your Councilmember?" Capabilities are being added continuously to our E-Government capability and these are all included on the eCape section of the city's website. Major tasks accomplished in FY 2006 include the implementation of the SIRE DMS, the Kronos Time Attendance Software & ConnectCapeCoral database for Economic Development. Key projects for FY 2007 include PerformanceSoft metrics / business scorecard, D-fast special assessments, online Garage Sale Permits, and the redesign of the city's website "CapeGov.org".
