Hardship Deferral Program
Utility Connection Grant Assistance
Note: Fees quoted below are approximate charges for a typical
10,000 sq. ft. residential parcel. For fees charged for parcels
greater than 10,000 sq. ft. or zoned other than residential and
all other rate information, you will need to call us at 239-574-7722.
Rates are established by City Council and are subject to change.
HARDSHIP DEFERRAL PROGRAM
A hardship deferral for the “deferral” of impact fees,
betterment fees and assessments (only assessments not billed on
the tax bill) is offered by the City for those who cannot afford
to make their annual payments.
Each year a completed hardship application must be submitted by
July 15th and applicant’s must meet the program’s qualifications
in order for the deferral to be granted. Hardship applicants will
not qualify if their property taxes are not current or the assessed
property is not homesteaded. Click here for a hardship

UTILITY CONNECTION GRANT ASSISTANCE
A utility connection assistance grant program is available for
those individuals who qualify as low or very-low income families
(see chart for income limits). The program will pay the plumbers
fees, water meter fee and will reimburse the $40.00 septic permit
