Household Hazardous Waste Program
   The household hazardous waste program is conducted as a service to the community to provide a means for disposal of household hazardous waste items that are not permissible as normal refuse.

Those items included as household hazardous waste are paints, batteries, pesticides, fertilizers, fuels, and oil products etc. The Cape Coral Fire, Rescue & Emergency Services Department host two (2) drop-off days per year at the Public Works Annex on SE 26 ST & Everest Pkwy.

The dates for the drop-offs are always held in January and July of each year, and the dates & times are published in the Ft. Myers New Press and the Cape Coral Daily Breeze in the week prior to the event. This service is conducted free of charge as part of the fees from residential trash collection pay for this service.
