Division: Mission |
 |
 To
process and provide pertinent information to the public regarding
the Comprehensive Plan, Land Use and Development Regulations, Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG)and the State Housing Initiatives Partnership
(SHIP) Programs, demographics and other program areas in a timely
fashion. To effectively coordinate the City's development review programs.
To protect and manage listed species and their habitat. To develop
and maintain the City's Geographic Information System in order to
serve the geographic and parcel data need of the City's Departments
and citizens of Cape Coral. |

| The Planning
Division prepares, monitors and
implements the
City's
Comprehensive Plan including compliance review and annual amendments
and revisions. The Division also administers the City's Land
Use and Development Regulations and the City's development review
programs including the Planned Development Project (PDP) process,
site plan review process as well as requests for rezoning, special
exception, variance, vacation of plat and preliminary and final subdivision
review. In addition, the division coordinates the City's Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) and State Housing Initiatives Partnership
(SHIP) programs. |
