The Planning Division of the Department of Community Development has prepared a draft Evaluation Appraisal Report (EAR) of the City of Cape Coral's Comprehensive Plan, pursuant to Section 163.3191 of the Florida Statutes. The purpose of the report is to summarize changes that have occurred in the City since the last review conducted in 1997, discuss the City's compliance with Comprehensive Plan and other state statutes and identify major issues that may be the basis for future amendments to the Plan. The Planning and Zoning Commission considered the EAR at a special meeting on January 11. The City Council is scheduled to consider the EAR at their January 31 meeting at 5:05 p.m. at the City Council Chambers for transmittal to the Florida State Department of Community Affairs.
