Planning Division: Comprehensive Plan – Goals, Objectives, and Policies

On October 29, 2007, the Cape Coral City Council adopted the most recent Evaluation and Appraisal Report-based amendments to the City’s Comprehensive Plan text and maps via Ordinance 38-07, which is the version placed online.  As of this time, these text and map amendments are undergoing review by state and regional agencies, principal among them being the Florida Department of Community Affairs.  While the City does not anticipate any changes to the following as a result of this review, please contact us regarding any possible changes to this document in order to be certain.

The Department of Community Affairs will issue a Notice of Intent regarding the following language and maps on or about December 27, 2007, as per Chapter 163.3184 F.S.  Upon publication of this Notice, interested persons may challenge the amendments to the updated plan for a 21-day period.  Should there be no challenge, the end of the challenge period being anticipated for late-January 2008, this webpage will be revised to reflect the adopted and effectuated Cape Coral Comprehensive Plan.

The Comprehensive Plan currently in effect is not available on this internet site but may be obtained at the City Clerks office.
