Council Member Tim Day moved to Cape Coral in 1997. He was born and raised in Rhode Island. Tim was elected to City Council in 2000 and re-elected to his second term in 2005.

Education: Associate's Degree from Roger Williams University
Bachelor's Degree from Rhode Island College

Work Experience:
Director of Southwest Florida Criminal Justice Academy/Ft. Myers Fire Academy since 2002.
Regional representative for Florida Department of Law Enforcement for five years.
Police officer in Providence, Rhode Island from 1985 - 1994.

Awards: Lions Club Police Officer of the Year 1987
