| Southwest
Florida International Airport, located just 15 miles from Cape
Coral in Fort Myers, is one of the
nation’s newest and busiest airports, serving regional, national
and international carriers and cargo transports. Southwest Regional
ranks No. 1 among all U.S. midsize hubs for “available seats,” and
experienced an 11.9 percent increase last year due to business and
leisure markets. An expanded U.S. Immigration and Customs station
makes it easy for international passengers and freight to enter at
Southwest Florida’s airport. In fact, its designation as a
Foreign Trade Zone allows for duty-free import and export of goods.
In addition to Southwest Florida International, Cape Coral also
is served by Page Field, a general aviation airport in Fort Myers
for business executives, visiting corporate aircraft and area pilots.
